Agartala is a beautiful city that has seen various ups and down with the pace of time. There are various facts that are associated with the city and attract thousands of visitors throughout the year. Present day Agartala, was once the capital of the princely state ‘Swadhin Tripura’. Earlier, Maharaja Krishna Kishore Manikya made the old Agartala or the Old Haveli as the capital of the princely state but later in 1849 A.D., the capital was shifted from Old Agartala to the present day’s Agartala, which is situated on the banks of Haora River. Several famous temples, magnificent palaces, wild life sanctuaries and historical bungalows accentuate the beauty of this ancient land.

To get a proper overview of the state’s religious beliefs, visit the ornate Gedu Mia's Mosque and the revered Chaturdash Debta Temple, where the Kharchi Festival is held every July. A lot of our Agartala packages include a trip to the Buddhist temple of Benuban Vihar as well as Ujjayanta Palace, the former royal residence. At Nazrul Kalakshetra, you can witness the local performing arts, whereas at the government-run Purbasha Handicrafts Emporium, you can buy ethnic handicrafts of cane, bamboo and wood, and traditional attire. you can sit and relax at the lush Heritage Park, Rabindra Kanan and Nehru Park.

Day 01 :  Arrival Agartala

Arrival at Agartala airport & transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit Ujjayanta Palace The former Maharajas had constructed beautiful palaces in different locations of the state. These palaces provide a glimpse of the royal past of this erstwhile princely state. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Agartala.

Day 02 : In Agartala Sightseeing

After breakfast visit State Museum, Tribal Museum, Laxminarayan Temple, Rabindra Kanan, Fourteen Goddess Temple & Portuguese Church. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Agartala.

Day 03 : Agartala Dep.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and Transfer to Airport to connect flight to onward destination.

Tour Cancilation policy

• Strictly depends upon concerned hotel's cancellation policy
• Minimum Cancilation charges before 10days of Travel Date is 10% of package cost

• Package cost will change if opted for guide service, choice of transport vehicle, hotel type change
• Accommodation charges as mentioned in the package are with 2 persons staying together sharing the same room
• Extra persons in same room charges extra

The Agartala airport in Tripura is the nearest airport. At a distance of 5mins from Agartala. This airport is connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by direct flights. One can get a taxi or an auto to reach the destination.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Kumarghat which is 140kms away from Tripura. The Kumarghat station is connected to the railheads of Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Chennai and Bangalore. Taxis are available near the station to reach Tripura.

By Road

Agartala is 44 Kms from Teliamura, 109 Kms from Manu, 133 Kms from Kumarghat, 295 Kms from Silchar, 300 Kms from Aizawl, 313 Kms from Dwarband, 459 Kms from Shillong, 557 Kms from Imphal, 558 Kms from Guwahati. There are state and private buses to ply a decent service to the visitors.
