Present day Agartala, was once the capital of the princely state ‘Swadhin Tripura’. Earlier, Maharaja Krishna Kishore Manikya made the old Agartala or the Old Haveli as the capital of the princely state but later in 1849 A.D., the capital was shifted from Old Agartala to the present day’s Agartala, which is situated on the banks of Haora River. Several famous temples, magnificent palaces, wild life sanctuaries and historical bungalows accentuate the beauty of this ancient land.
To get a proper overview of the state’s religious beliefs, visit the ornate Gedu Mia's Mosque and the revered Chaturdash Debta Temple, where the Kharchi Festival is held every July. Day 02 : In Agartala Sightseeing
After breakfast visit State Museum, Tribal Museum, Laxminarayan Temple, Rabindra Kanan, Fourteen Goddess Temple & Portuguese Church. Evening free for leisure. Overnight at Agartala.
Day 03 : Agartala Dep.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and Transfer to Airport to connect flight to onward destination.

The Agartala airport in Tripura is the nearest airport. At a distance of 5mins from Agartala. This airport is connected to Kolkata and Guwahati by direct flights. One can get a taxi or an auto to reach the destination.
The nearest railway station is Kumarghat which is 140kms away from Tripura. The Kumarghat station is connected to the railheads of Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Chennai and Bangalore. Taxis are available near the station to reach Tripura.
