Mallikarjuna Temple In Kasaragod Kerala

Mallikarjuna Temple

Located in the heart of Kasargod town, Mallikarjuna Temple is considered to be one of the oldest temples in the town. Renowned for its fascinating musical theater and festival Yakshagana, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in form of Mallikarjuna. The festival is held annually in March or April for five days. Mant cultural programs are organized in courtyard and the last day is for Yakshagana, the most awaited event. At the end of the festival, all the visitors are offered with Payasam.
