Sun Temple In Patna Bihar

Sun Temple

Sun Temple is claimed to belong to the period of Treta Yuga but archaeological evidences indicate that the temple could belong to 8th century. The architectural style of the temple resembles Nagar style, which was popular between 6th and 12th centuries. Legend goes that the temple was originally facing east but following the prayers of the priest to protect the temple from being destroyed by invader.
