Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar group of islands, is your first step into the Andamans filled with history and heritage, this small town is a melting pot of Indian language, people and culture. As the capital of Andaman, it also remains more crowded compared to the other islands around it. The main passenger dock for ferries-the Phoenix Bay Jetty is 1 Km. to the North West. Port Blair is a paradise for nature-lovers and adventure seekers alike. You can experience nature’s bounty in the palm lined Corbyn’s Cove or the exotic marine life at Viper Island. Tourists throng the sparsely populated city for a trek up Mount Harriet and relish numerous water sports like scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and more.
