Linhai is a county-level city in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province situated on the banks of the Lin River in Eastern China. Linhai is not as crowded during the holidays as the sections of wall near Beijing, and during much of the year it is fairly quiet. It’s a much more accessible alternative for climbing the wall than flying to Beijing, for those situated in southern China. Its wall attracts many tourists. According to the tickets for access to the wall, construction of the wall, originally over 6 kilometres long, began in the Jin Dynasty (265-420) and was not finished until the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) Dynasties.



East Lake a classical Qing Dynasty imperial lake similar to ones you would see in Beijing, is a good place to start off your visit to Linhai. Jiangnan Great Wall according to the information signs at the wall, the Linhai section of the wall was designed by the same architect who designed the famous Badaling section of the Great Wall in Beijing.
