The Big lake (Yercaud Lake) is beautiful and clean. The surrounding areas have gardens and lush greenery. The environment around the lake is best for a picnic and the gardens have flowers blooming every season. The lake also has boating facilities that gives a peaceful boating experience on a good sunny day. In the weekends, the lake can get crowded but if you go during the weekdays, you might even get the entire lake to yourself!

The high view point called the Pagoda point offers a bird eye’s view of the entire city down below, the view is breath-taking and absolutely gorgeous. The steep road towards the view point is enthralling and the point is often used as the end point of a serene walk amongst the hills.

Kiliyur Falls is a nice and calm place that allows access to the untouched natural piece of art of the water flowing gracefully down the stream. The falls is not accessible easily and there is a trekking trail that leads to it, although the walk is absolutely worth it.

Shevaroy Temple is a car ride away from the city but the temple is a must visit while in Yercaud. The temple is dedicated to Lord Balajia nd Cauveryamma. The shrine is placed inside a cave and the temple complex also has a viewpoint that the tourists use as a great place to click pictures.
