Dwarahat is a town located in the Almora District of Uttarakhand. The town has much historical significance from an archaeological point of view. the meaning of Dwarahat is ‘Way to Heaven’, where ‘Dwara’ means way and ‘Hat’ means heaven. The town, once the capital of the Katuyari royal clan of Kumaon, is home to several temples dedicated to Mrityunjaya, Maniyan and Kachri Devtas. The ancient temples of Dwarahat are located in the central part of its market. These temples were constructed by the Katyuri kings and their architecture was inspired by the Gurjari School of Art.
Day 1: Kathgodam - Dwarahat
Pick-up from Kathgodam Railway Station, drive to Dwarahat. check in at hotel & relax, evening free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Dwarahat Local Sightseeing
Have your breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Dwarahat Local Sightseens, The ancient temples of Dwarahat are located in the central part of its market. There is a temple on top of a hill, called Maa Dunagiri Temple, Evening free for individual activates. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Dwarahat - Kathgodam
After early breakfast, drive back to Kathgodam. On arrive Kathgodam, transfer to Railway Station.
