Augustmuni

Augustmuni is a tourist destination about 20 kilometers from Rudraprayag, at a height of 1000 meters, along the bank of the beautiful river Mandakini. The place is so named after the ascetic Agastya who is believed to have meditated here for one full year.

While the place is basically popular as a religious site,where the Agastya temple shows reverence to the great sage, Augustmuni is also considered the perfect spot to relax and participate in some quality fishing on the banks of the river Mandakini.
