Chandausi

Chandausi is a Tehsil in Budaun District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. Chandausi Tehsil Head Quarters is Chandausi town . It belongs to Bareilly Division . It is located 66 KM towards North from District head quarters Budaun. 324 KM from State capital Lucknow towards East. Chandausi is a city and a municipal board in Sambhal district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The original name of the city was "Chaand Si", meaning "moon-like" Chandausi is known for mint oil, which has become the city's main trade. The mint plant is cultivated on a large scale and extracting essential oils from the plant through distillation. Oil is exported from here worldwide.

The beautiful city is also known for Ghee and traditional Ganesh Chaturthi Utsava and you will see automatically moving statues' presentation, which is led by the representatives of Elephants at the time of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is rare. A large crowd attends this festival in Chandausi. During the festival time, Ganesh Mela is also organized here that is witnessed by millions of visitors from the city and nearby area.
