Thommankuthu Waterfall

Thommankuthu is located 18 km from Thodupuzha. Thommankuthu is a very scenic waterfall near Thodupuzha, in the southern state of Kerala, India and is named after the great hunter, Mr. Thommachen Kuruvinakunnel, who let the world know of this beautiful waterfall in the jungle in the late 1920s. Thommachen also played a big part in the discovery of the site for the Idukki Dam.



Sree Krishna Swami Temple

Sree Krishna Swami Temple is a Hindu temple situated at the heart of Thodupuzha town in the Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is located on the banks of Thodupuzhayar, a tributary of river Muvattupuzha. Lord Krishna presides there in the form of Navaneetha Krishna who holds butter in his right pam. The origin of the temple is associated with many myths which date backs to the ancient era. Popular myths have it that once a wandering Brahmin who was on a pilgrimage to the various temples reached here and got a divine vision of Lord Krishna.

Amaramkavu

Amaramkavu is a Durga temple situated in Idukki district, Kerala. The main idol is Vana Durga. It is surrounded by forest. The temple is surrounded by acres of forest containing 1000 year old trees. The deity is Vana Durga. This sacred Hindu worship place is considered among the mysterious Shakti Shrines in the state. The major attraction of the temple is a divine idol of goddess Durga which is believed to be self originated.



Puthukkulathumana Nagaraja Temple

Puthukkulathumana Nagaraja Temple is famous temple dedicated to Nagas or Serpents in Kerala. The temple is located around 2 km from Thodupuzha Town and around 19 km from Muvattupuzha in Kerala. The shrine has murtis of Nagaraja and Nagayakshi. Both are serpent deities worshipped in many temples in Kerala. There are also special murtis and space dedicated to Neecha Sarpas in the shrine. Lord Ayyappa is also worshipped in the temple.



St Marys Church Auditorium

St. Mary's Church Auditorium is a theatre in Thodupuzha.



Malankara Dam

Malankara Lake, spread over 11 Kms is an artificial lake formed as part of Muvattupuzha Valley Irrigation Project. The Dam is constructed across Thodupuzha River for irrigation purpose. This place is a very good picnic spot with boating facilities in the lake. The Malankara reservoir and dam is ideal for boating and fishing.



Pampanal Waterfalls

Falls is located 17 km away from Thodupuzha. Three Waterfalls are there in Pampanal. Trekking from Waterfalls in Top to one in Bottom is a major attraction. Tourist can not only take bath but also take snaps closer in this falls.
