Bodhan

Bodhan city is located along the Godavari and Pedda Vaagu River banks in Nizamabad district of Telangana. It is located at a distance of 21 km away from the district Headquarters Nizamabad and 205 km away from the state capital Hyderabad. The city was once called as “Boodhan” which is a Prakrit name that means “Land given to poor as alms”. The city is also called as “Eka Chakrapuram”. The city is sub divided into three main divisions namely Bodhan, Rakasipet and Shankar Nagar which are the vital landmark areas of Bodhan city. Bodhan is well known for its ancient monuments and Nizam sugar factory. The current city of Bodhan grounds numerous commercial and industrial landmarks in its grounds.

Touring towards the Ghats of Pedda Vaagu River and Godavari River tributary is a wonderful experience which the city visitors should never miss also bathing in the ponds of Bodhan namely Pandava pond and Chakki Talaab is also an awesome experience. The city homes numerous temples in its grounds which are popular for its religious practice and events that bring numerous devotees to its vicinity daily. Cultural events and fairs during special occasions are very famous in these places of worship
