Surandai is a panchayat town in Tirunelveli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 47 KM towards North from District head quarters Tirunelveli. It is a Taluk head quarter. A town in Tirunelveli district, Surandai serves as a centre of trade for several nearby villages. Surandai is located in the Veerakeralampudur taluk of Tirunelveli, at the foot of the Western Ghats. Surandai panchayat town comprised main Surandai and Keela Surandai, Aladipatti, Bangalow Surandai, Kurungavanam and some of Anaikulam (Pavanasapuram). The first surandai name was Raja Sooriya Nallur next changed Suranthai some recently 50 years called surandai.
