Laixi

Laixi is a county-level city of Qingdao sub-provincial city, Shandong Province, China. Laixi is known as "Qingdao's Back Garden". Laixi was once combined with Laiyang, its neighbor to the north; however, Laixi is now the northernmost part of Qingdao and Laiyang is the southernmost part of Yantai. The new highway is not only faster, it's a safer and more enjoyable way to get to Qingdao, and Laixi residents love going to Qingdao.

Laixi is famous for its painter Cui Zifan who is honored with a museum in the city. At the museum spectators are able to view many of his classical Chinese paintings and calligraphy works.
