Sri Madhopur is a city and a municipality in Sikar district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It belongs to Jaipur Division. It is located 60 KM towards East from District head quarters Sikar. 68 KM from State capital Jaipur towards South. The town is a market place for the agricultural produce of the surrounding area. Maharajkumars of Shri Madhopur were the royal seat of Songaras of Shekhawati. It was granted by Maharao Jai Singh of Shekhawati in year 1946. The city Shri Madhopur was founded by HH Maharao Shri Sir Madho Singhji Bahadur of Shekhawati (1885-1942). Maharajkumar Jayant Singh was the grandson of him.
