Sangaria


Sangaria is a city and municipality in the Hanumangarh district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It belongs to Bikaner Division. It is located 30 KM towards North from District head quarters Hanumangarh. It is a Tehsil head quarter. It is situated near the northern border of Rajasthan adjoining Haryana and Punjab states. Before the year 1900, there was a battalion of soldiers of the then princely state of Bikaner to protect the north eastern boundary on the site of the present Sangaria town, which was then known as ‘Sangar’, and this is the origin of the town's name.



Sangaria, a fast growing city of Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan, is one of the famous tourist locations in the state. Ancient temples of various deities are several in the city. There is also a famous museum called Sir Mottu Ram memorial Museum, where many tourist visit to explore the ancient remains of historical significance. They are the popular pilgrim locations of the city. Gopal Seva Sadan Mandir and Ramdev Baba Mandir, which were constructed by Seth Shree Gopalchand Bihani of Sangar
