Mangrol

Mangrol is a Town in Surat District of Gujarat State, India. It is located 54 KM towards East from District head quarters Surat. It is a Taluka head quarter.

Known as “Gujarat’s Gentle Giant” by the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) revealed that the deep sea near Mangrol, situated in Gujarat is a perfect place to develop Whale Shark Tourism and satellite-tagging studies in India. Mangrol are among the top four places in Gujarat, which have the maximum number of incidental capture of whale sharks. The other two are Sutrapada and Dhamlej.
