Ram jharna is a natural water body with fresh supply of water all around the year. This place is regarded as the most sacred place by Hindus. It is believed that during their period of vanvas (exile), lord Rama and his loving wife Sita drank water from this place, giving it its name. This gorgeous place is just 18 kms from the administrative headquarters of the city.

Gomarda Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Sarangarh town in Raigarh district. This is nearly 10 kms away from the heart of the town. It is spread over a vast area of nearly 278 sq kms. It is majorly covered by the tropical deciduous forest and is the soil for many rivers and lakes. You can visit this place anytime in the year but the best time is considered from November to June.
