Located in the east coast of the Indian sub-continent in the state of Orissa, is one of the four Dhams (Sacred place) of the Hindus. The city is famous for the temple of Lord Jagannath. Patronized by vedic scholars and powerful Kings of Orissa, Puri became the symbol of oriental philosophy and religion after construction of the temple of Lord Jagannath during late 11th century.
