Ela Ecoland is essentially a cardamom and coffee plantation with a small farm in the backyard. Ela means cardamom in Sanskrit. All of our rooms are close to nature and are temporary structures. The place is rugged and raw in nature, and we are nothing close to a flashy contemporary resort. The small river or otherwise that large stream that flows through the property in the form of a waterfall is the Kallar-Nallathani river. Local women prepare food at the restaurant, it's authentic, local and delicious. We have a 24 hours power backup, and the security is there 24/7. The property is technically not in the forests, but the ambiance of large virgin trees and the dense greenery gives you a feel of being in the woods. If you are thrilled!
