Purna is a town with a municipal council in Parbhani district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It belongs to Marathwada region. It belongs to Aurangabad Division. It is located 32 KM towards East from District head quarters Parbhani. It is a Taluka head quarter. Purna Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary in the Western Ghats mountain range, in Gujarat state of India. It is located in the South Gujarat region, between Vyara, Tapi District and Ahwa, Dang District.The area covering 160.8 sq. km is a reserved forest, which has been notified as Sanctuary in July 1990. The main village of Mahal is at the center of the sanctuary on the banks of the Purna river, with a forest rest house. Purna Wildlife Sanctuary is also popular among bird watchers.
