This resort on the shore of Vembanadu Lake, a blend of heritage style and modern facilities, offers accommodations in private villas and on a houseboat. Backwater Ripples Resort has beautiful cottages built of natural materials and decorated with ethnic artwork. The villas have scenic views over the pool and lake, and some have outside bathrooms. The houseboat offers a tranquil cruise on the famous backwaters and an onboard bedroom. The hotel’s on-site restaurant serves international and Kerala cuisine with an emphasis on fish fresh from the lake. There is a gym, sauna, hot tub, and the Vedasparsh Ayurvedic Center. The railway station is only a 15-minute drive away, and the nearest airport is 70 kilometers from the hotel.
