Nilambur is a municipality and a taluk in the Malappuram district of the Indian state of Kerala. It is located close to the Nilgiris range of the Western Ghats on the banks of the Chaliyar River. The destination is renowned for being home to the oldest teak plantation in the world, called Connolly's Plot. The place includes people belonging to of Hindu, Muslim and Christian religious communities. Nilambur is home to the oldest aboriginal tribe of Kerala, Cholainaickans.
