Mattannur

Mattannur, is a town and a municipality in the Kannur district, state of Kerala, India. Mattanur is around 25 km east of Kannur town and Thalassery. Mattannur lies between Kannur, Thalassery and Iritty. The inter-state buses ply between Bangalore and Thalassery, Kannur passes through Mattanur. It is an important hub connecting Kodagu and Kannur. Though small, it has many attractions. The town has developed around the Mattanur Mahadeva temple.
