The gentle hills of Ranipuram in Kerala are famous for its trekking trail. Anandashram Ashram located near Kanhangad Railway Station was established in year 1939 by Swami Ramadas. The Nityanandasramam is the other popular ashram established by Swami Nityananada.

Renowned for its fascinating musical theater and festival Yakshagana, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in form of Mallikarjuna. The festival is held annually in March or April for five days. The grave of one of a descendant of Malik Ibn Dibar namely Malik Ibn Mohammed is located in the mosque. Juma Masjid situated in Thalangara is one of the most beautiful mosque in the district while there is another mosque namely Theruvath Mosque in the middle of Kasargod.
Nellikunnu Mosque lying near the Kasargod town is mainly known for the Uroos. In fact, the word Uroos is also said to be derived the name itself. If you are visiting the place during the month of November, you will witness the famous celebrations of a weeklong Nercha festival. Held in the month of November, a huge feast is organized on the last day of the Uroos.
Popularly known as the Dakshina Kashi, Trikkanad and Pandayan Kallu is a temple sitting deftly near the Bekal Fort. Located about 2 km from Trikkanad is the Pandayan Kallu, a rock ascending from the sea which is popular for swimming. The legend behind this rock is when one of the Pandya kings attempted to attack the temple, Lord Shiva changed the temple into a rock.
