Motel Chandan has evolved with Kanha and its tourism. A small number of tourists visited the preserve during the seventies. They found succor at Chandan Motel as the resort is named. This was the first hotel accommodation venture at the Kanha National Park.

It is not that cheap any more but offers luxury and comfort like all good hotels in Kanha National Park. The economical rates are suitable for tiger safari to this resort.The sons look after the property. They have upgraded the lodge with modern amenities and lots of comfort features. The affordability remains and suits backpackers, budget travelers and families on economy travel. For a comfortable stay at economical price the resort is ideal. It is very close to the Khatia Gate entry to the tiger reserve.
