Places To Visit In Kakinada Sightseeing

Shri Bhavanarayana Swamy Temple is considered to be a very important place of worship lying in Sarpavaram nearby Kakinada. The place is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in form of Lord Bhavanarayan.

Lying in a beautiful setting amid nature, Coringa Sanctuary is a place for nature lovers and wildlife buffs. Located close to Kakinada in the proximity to the breath taking backwaters of the sea, the sanctuary is said to be sprawling across the huge area of 235 sq kms.

Pithapuram is a town located around 21 kms from Kakinada and renowned as a major pilgrim hub in the country. I fact is said to be the oldest holy center in India and is famous one of the five Madava Kashetras, one of the twelve pilgrim hubs and one of the Asta DataSakhti petas.

A place of great religious importance, Draksharamam is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and regarded as most holy place just after Banaras. Popularly referred to as Dakshina Kasi, the temple is adorned with four entrance gates presenting four cardinal directions.
