Jurong is a county-level city under the administration of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, China. It is dubbed “Nanjing's New Eastern Suburb” and and is boasted as the “Backyard of Nanjing”, which describe its geographic closure to Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province. One of two tributes of Qinhuai River, a landmark of Nanjing, originates from the Mountain Baohua which is in Jurong. The other tribute originates from the Mountain Dongting , lying in the county neighbou, Lishui County. Jurong City is situated in the South Jiangsu Plain with three major bodies of water, Qinhuai River, Lake Taihu and Yangtze River. Besides of the big three, there are other 76 various sizes of lakes and reservoirs nestled on the city' land.
Jurong has numberous tourist attranctions including historical sites, parks and temples. Three most attractive hills for tourists include Baohua Mountain National Forest Park, Maoshan Hill Scenic Region and Wawu Hill. The city confronts Nanjing metropolis on its west but faces the cities including Lishui, Liyang, Jintan, Danyang and Zhenjiang urban district elsewhere. In its southeast, there is a hilly area with the well-known Buddhism temple, the Longchang Temple.
