Huangshi is a prefecture-level city in southeastern Hubei province, People's Republic of China. Huangshi City is located in the southeast part of Hubei Province neighboring the Yangtze River in the north and Jiangxi Province in the southeast. Going up the Yangtze River, Wuhan is 143 kilometers away, while Jiujiang is 126 kilometers downriver. Before 967, this area had always belonged to other counties and shires. In that year, Daye County was established. That is the earliest appearance of the city. The general terrain of the city slopes downwards from the southwest to the northeast. Yangxin County includes more than four hundred hills and peaks. The Yangtze River flows through the city from the north to the east.



Huangshi has beautiful natural scenery such as lakes and mountains. One of its more famous sites is Feiyun Cave. As well as Dong Fang Shan, Oriental Mountain, and Ci Lake.
