Chibi is a city located in southeastern Hubei province, China. Neighboring Wuhan in the north and Yueyang in the south, Chibi has a name of "The South Gate of Hubei". It is administratively a county-level city of Xianning City. The city was originally named Puqi until June 1998, when the Chinese State Council approved the renaming to "Chibi" to tie the city since it was the site of the famous Battle of Chibi that took place in the winter of 208/9 CE.



The unique town located in Yangtze River of Chibi City, the town has been slated for one of 12 the port industrial parks of Wuhan New Port. The Yangtze River and Lushui River runs by the town and owns Chibi Mountain, Jinluan Mountain, Nanping Mountain, Qianghong Mountain, Miao Mountain and Shizi Mountain, the latter three ones is boasted of limestone resources and coal resources.
