Sundernagar

Sundernagar is a City and a municipal council in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This Beautiful town is situated on National Highway 21 (Chandigarh-Manali Highway). The name Suket comes from the name of Great Shukdev Rishi. The state of Suket was found by Bir Sen who was an ancestor of Sen Dynasty OF Bengal. The place as a whole is quite peaceful. There are lot of scenic beauties to see like sunset across the lake, valley view from the road going to Keran etc. There are two open big grounds in the colony where a lot of children play, people usually go for a walk in the evenings and mornings, usually on the roads towards nearby villages like Chambi and Keran. But there is a project of Cement factory which has been initiated by the government in Keran.

As a tourist place, Sundernagar is very nice place to visit for its beautiful places. There are many tourist attractions in Sundernagar like Sundernagar Lake, Mahamaya Temple, Mata Murari Devi Temple, Sukdev Vatika, Hateshwari Temple, Jangam Baag & Sheetala Mata Temple. All places are very famous for their natural beauty. Every year many tourists visit Sundernagar as it is on the way to Manali, so they stops by and enjoy the awesomeness of this beautiful town.
