Duyun

Duyun is the capital of Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou province in the People's Republic of China. The city participated in the uprising from the early stages until it was forcefully repressed the following year. It is situated on the Jian River, some 100 km southeast of the provincial capital of Guiyang. Duyun was a small town, but it subsequently became the economic centre of a large district that has been considerably developed. The city has spread out along the Jian River to many times its previous size and has become an important industrial city in the province.
