Places To Visit In Deoghar Sightseeing

It is one of the prime and popular attractions of Deoghar which houses the premise of Dhaninath Temple. Many devotees, tourists and locals visit this place to celebrate the annual festival which is organized in the months of February and March in Kathikund.

Located at a distance of about 1km from Chandi Hills, Deoghar, is the Devi Kundeshwari Temple. It houses idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati along with the deity of Lord Narayana. It contains 9 temples dedicated to the nine planets (Navagraha) separately. Idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi can be seen within the sacred sanctum as well.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith is located at Belur Math and was established in the year 1922 in Howrah District. Many students are imparted knowledge regarding our culture and tradition in this residential school.

Another wonderful place to visit in Deoghar is Shivaganga. It is said that this place was discovered by the Ravana. In ancient time it was well known as a Varvoghar Kund.
