Manihari is a town and a notified area in Katihar district in the Indian state of Bihar. It belongs to Purnia Division. It is located 26 KM towards South from District head quarters Katihar.



Manihari,a small kasba near the banks of river Ganga, was famous for Mango Orchards including nearby villages Nawabganj, Balutola, Bangbara, Dilarpur Tejnarayanpur etc,great paddy fields and ponds, riverlets with full of live fish stocks of different varieties. Calcutta crossing River Ganga by steamer from Manihari Ghat to Sakarigali (Sahibganj) Ghat.
