Venkatagiri is a town in Nellore district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and mandals headquarters of Venkatagiri mandal. It belongs to Andhra region. It is located 78 KM towards South from District head quarters Nellore. It is a Mandal head quarter. Venkatagiri's old name is "Kali Mili". It is famous for its Handloom Cotton Sarees. Venkatagiri is a place for history and handlooms. It was part of a small kingdom that was integrated into the Indian Republic.
