Sullurupeta is a town in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is a municipality and also the mandal headquarters of Sullurpeta mandal. It belongs to Andhra region. It is located 89 KM towards South from District head quarters Nellore. It is a Mandal head quarter. The origin of name "Sullurupeta" came from Telugu words "Sullu" meaning rounds or circles and "peta" meaning town. Sullurpeta is at a distance of 12 km from Sricity which is a developing satellite city in the border between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
