Sattenapalle is a town in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and the headquarters of Sattenapalle mandal under Guntur revenue division. It belongs to Andhra region. It is located 36 KM towards west from District head quarters Guntur. It is a Mandal head quarter. Sattenpalle is located at around 232 feet above sea level. Telugu is the official language here. Amravati is situated in Sattepalle Taluk and it is famous for its Buddhist Scriptures.
It is also known for the temple of Lord Shiva who is worshipped here as Lord Amareswara. The local people are very warm hearted and happy to serve the tourists. It is famous for being the birth place of Vavilala Gopalkrishnayya. He was a prominent freedom fighter of Gandhiji’s era. He strived hard for the establishment of independent India.
