Proddutur is a city in Kadapa district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the banks of Penna River. The city is a municipality and also the mandal headquarters of Proddatur mandal. Proddatur is on the banks of river Penna.Its neighbouring towns include Jammalamadugu, Mydukuru, Yerraguntla and Allagadda. Jammalamadugu and Mydukur are just 20 km away from Proddatur.
