Gudur

Gudur is a tourist destination in the state of Andhra Pradesh. "Gudur Sub Division, the southern most coastal Division of Andhra Pradesh belongs to SPSR Nellore District in the Southern Andhra Coastal Plain. It spreads over sixteen Mandals and six hundred and ten revenue villages. Gudur is noted for mica industry. the town has grown in importance with the establishment of a Nelcast, a Government Polytechnic college, D.R.WWomenCollege. There are two important temples, dedicated to the Lord Sri. Venkateswara Swamy and Dharmaraja. A festival in honour of Dharmaraja is celebrated once in 10 years for a period of 23 days and thousands of devotees congregate on this occasion. Gudur town is also a famous lemon export center.
