Chirala is a town in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Located 16 kms from Bapatla and 60 kms from Ongole, Chirala is well known for its textiles. Bedspreads, curtains, tapestry fabrics and sarees are popular offerings of the place. It's also popularly known as Mini Bombay.



Also known as “Ksheerapuri”, the peaceful town of Chirala is located in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. It was founded by Minchala Paleti Papayya and Minchala Paleti Perayya. Chirala is exclusively famous for its quiet beaches, splendid panoramic view and extremely hospitable people. Also famous for its handloom industry, Chirala is known as Mini Bombay or Chenna Bombay.
