Bhavannarayana swamy Temple, located in the heart of the Bapatla, is one among the oldest temples of Andhra pradesh. Bhavanarayana Temple had been constructed by the great king Krimikantha Chola in 1465 and was restored by Raja (King) Vasireddi Venkatadrinaidu of Amravati kingdom in 1856. This temple has been preserved for years by the archeological department of India.
